Iolo Williams
TV naturalist Iolo Williams will be one of the leading lights of gardening appearing in Llangollen this weekend for the town’s third gardening show.
The star, who currently fronts the S4C show Natur Cymru on Monday evenings, is appearing at the show, as a guest of North Wales nature expert Jan Miller.
"We are delighted that Jan and Iolo will be at the show to bring the message about bio-diversity home to people. It is such an important part of what gardening is all about so that whatever size of garden you have you can make a vital contribution to encouraging wildlife" said Show Director Stephen Green.
The TV star is an old friend of the nature expert from Holywell, who share a mutual interest in butterflies.
"She is really excellent. I met her through my TV work and whenever I want some advice on what to plant in my garden to encourage butterflies I ask her, she’s a great ally" said Iolo of his show partner.
The show, which is being held at the Royal International Pavilion this weekend, can also count Chelsea Show Multi-Gold Medallist Medwyn Williams, Daily Telegraph garden writer Stephen Lacey, and Chef Graham Tinsley among its celebrity appearances.
Last year’s show drew over 10,000 visitors to the town, and organisers promise to make this year’s event even bigger and better.
